Stella Grace Russell, age 71, of Townsend, formerly of Friendsville, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2009 at home. She was a member of Louisville First Baptist Church and had been attending Friendly Hill Baptist Church in Townsend. Preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Joseph Russell; parents, James Earl and Thelma Faye Burchfield, infant son, John Russell, daughter in law, Rhonda Russell; brothers in law, Pete Adams and Jr. Walker, and half brother, Paul Dillard Hall. Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Debbie and Jack Teaster of Townsend; sons, James Russell and Roy Russell both of Friendsville, Lloyd Russell Jr. and companion, Tammy Tipton of Maryville, grandchildren, Brig Adams, Billy Jack Teaster, Allen Russell, and Jackie Russell; great grandchildren, Zachry Hunter, Matthew Dwight, Grayson, and Joseph Teaster; brothers, John Burchfield, Donald Burchfield and wife, June, Jimmy Burchfield and wife, Marsha; sisters, Sylvia Walker, Mary Adams, Willa Mae Breeden, and husband, Bill; special friends, Fayda Webb and Mary McCauley; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Wayne Black and Rev. Homer Burns officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Monday at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery for the graveside service and interment.
