Gililland, who had lived in Alamogordo and Otero county for the greater part of his life before moving to El Paso some 15 years ago, was retired from a position as security guard for the Raytheon Co. at White Sands Missile Range. He was 71 years of age.
Gililland was the son of the late George Edward and Lillie L. Gililland, and was born at La Luz, Aug 11, 1906.
He is survived by two sons, Jack Gililland of St . Thomas, Virgin Islands, and Billy Minor of Eagle, Idaho; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Tarvin of El Paso, Mrs. Lillie Taylor and Mrs. Kathy Doucette, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandhchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew J. Gililland Of Hurley ad James Gililland of Carlsbad; and four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Scott and Mrs. W. H. (Georgia) Ellison, both of Alamogordo, Mrs. Annie Scott of Mayhill and Mrs. Irvin (Lillie) Scott of Cloudcroft.
