Superior Weekly Journal (Superior, NE), Thursday, November 11, 1915; pg. 3

Wm. Keithley and Miss Ada Long decided to spring a surprise on their friends, sneaked away some time during the night last night, went to Red Cloud for a marriage license and were married in Guide Rock while many of us were asleep, and took the early morning Santa Fe for Kansas City. The only news of this event was sprung here through a note to employes (sic) at the Sand and Gravel Co's office by Mr. Keithley, stating that he was married and that he and his bride were on their way to Kansas City. It has not yet been decided what kind of reception will be give the bride and groom for this rash act.
