Died, at his residence in Wales, Sanpete Co., Utah, April 28th, 1885 of Typhoid pneumonia, after an illness of eight days. Henry J. son of Henry D. and Margaret J. Rees; born October 21st, 1861 Wales, Sanpete County. He was faithful and true to the principles of the Gospel, and energetic in doing his duty. He was a member in the 47th Quorum of Seventies, President in Sunday School in the Ward, which positions he magnified to the best of his ability.

The funeral services were held in the Wales meeting house. Brother Jonathan Midgley and Bishop John E. Rees addressed the saints and gave consoling remarks to those that were called to mourn. The remains were then conveyed to their resting place, headed by 24 young men and 8 young ladies on foot, who were followed by 23 conveyances, all filled with relatives and friends, who deeply mourn his loss.
