Mrs. Opal Josephine Bagwell Lewis of Dothan died Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at her residence. She was 77. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Tom Anderson and Bradley Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ward Wilson Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, September 25, 2009. Flowers will be accepted. Mrs. Lewis was born on December 20, 1931, in Enterprise, AL, the daughter of the late Wilburn Bagwell and Eva Grantham Bagwell. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Minnie Henderson, Exie Henderson, and bro-thers, Harold Bagwell, Edgar Bagwell, Max Bagwell, and Rex Bagwell. Survivors include: her husband, William Thaxton Lewis of Dothan; daughter, Susan Morrison and her husband, Edward of Do-than; sons, Anthony Lewis and his wife, Judy of Malvern; Dennis Lewis and his wife, Sheryl of Roswell, GA; brothers, Kenneth Bagwell and his wife, Jean of Dothan; Paul Bagwell and his wife, JoAnn of Dothan; and grandchildren, Amanda Lewis, Andy Le-wis, Keith Lewis, Holly Lewis, Kelley Atwell, Ashley Meredith, and Ben Meredith.
