John L. "Jack" Davis Jr., 82, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, in St. Peters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. James Brice Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in Arrow Rock Cemetery in Arrow Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of Arrow Rock, P.O. Box 124, Arrow Rock, MO 65320. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Jan. 6, 1927, in Hardeman, he was the son of the late John L. Davis Sr. and Ruth Mann Davis. He was a retired master sergeant from the U.S. Army serving in World War II and the Korean War, and was retired from AmerenUE. He was active in Boy Scouting.
Survivors include his wife, Erika Meyer Davis; two sons, John L. Davis III and Jeffrey Davis; and four grandchildren, Paul, Nathan, Aaron and April Davis.
