William Henry Harrison Wilson's parents were James Wilson and Louisa Spell Wilson. He and Sarah raised their families in the dog-trot log cabin that his parents finished the chimney in the year he was born.
His first wife, Almeria Agness Willis Wilson, was pregnant with their first child. Tradition has it that she was thrown from a horse which resulted in her and the unborns death. He married second to Sarah Elizabeth Gay Wilson in Livingston County on January 15, 1867. They had ten children:
1) James Charlie;
2) William Albert Maywood;
3) Marion Harvie;
4) Louisa "Lizzie" Elizabeth (Williamson);
5) Ernest Redding;
6) John Walker;
7) Sarah Adeline (Sefrit);
8) Frank Leslie;
9) Emma Pearl (May);
10) Gordon Bennett.

He was a Road Surveyor of a portion of the Salem to Berry's Ferry Road from a point beginning with the Hogan's Fork Bridge over Deer Creek. He was instrumental in getting the road built to the Foreman Mill and then changing a route to connect with the new town of Lola. A neighbor described him as short to average in height.

Tradition has it that he died of kidney failure as the result of a kick in the back from a mule. Kentucky Death Records indicate that he died as a result of congestion of stomach.
