MILLS, LAUREN KATHERINE (JARNIGAN) - age 86 of Blaine, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 30, 2006 at 10:32 pm at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: husband, Charles Mills; son, Marshall Edward Mills; and 3 grandchildren. Survivors include: children, Joyce and Bob McHaffie of Jefferson City, David and Helen Mills of Blaine, Mary and Herbert Cox of Jefferson City, Charles A. and Bonnie Mills of Rutledge, Nadine and Frank McKee of Lenoir City, Martha and John Cureton of Jefferson City, Eula V. and Melvin Brown of Rutledge, Freddie and Dawn Mills of Blaine, Gladys and Pete Sexton of Blaine; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lou White and Louisa Whaley; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 2, 2006 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Oliver and Rev. Fred R. Chandler officiating. A graveside service will be 2:00 pm, May 3, 2006 in the Indian Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Tuesday prior to the service. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
