Kenneth Leroy is the son of Walter Emanuel exstrom and Martha Josephina Almquist. He married Ruth Marie Peterson on 12 December 1953 in Aiken, South Carolina. The had three children; Susan Jo, Barbara Ruth, and Bruce Kenneth. He retired from the Army in 1965. Kenneth worked for Central Nebraska Public Power Supply and Irrigation. Kenneth and Ruth were members of the Presbyterian Church in Holdrege, Nebraska.
