The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Clark occurred at 9 o clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs Margaret Barlow, 613 Gault street. The decedent was 83 years of age and her death was due to a stroke of paralysis which she sustained a few weeks ago. Mrs Clark was a remarkable woman for her age and until the last was in full possession of her mental faculties.She was born in Tennessee January 26 1822, and had lived in this city for the past eight years. She is survived by thefollowing children: Mrs. Margaret Barlow of this city, Mrs. Emilene Black of Paris, Charles N. Clark of Effingham, Mrs. Ellen King of Huron Ind,and Fd. N. Clark of Los Angeles. In addition she leaves twenty-two grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mrs. Clark was throughout her life an earnest and consistent member of the United Brethern church.
