GOLDIE MAE TAYLOR, 76

Goldie Mae Taylor, 76, died at 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, in the Heritage House Nursing Home. She had been in failing health for several months.

Taylor was born Dec. 12, 1908, in Paoli, the daughter of George and Edna Collier Deal. Later she was adopted by Charles E. and Maude Taylor.

She was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Greensburg Department Club. She graduated from the Deaconness Hospital School of Nursing in 1931, and came to Greensburg in 1955 from Cincinnati.

She was married to Herbert Taylor July 12, 1946, in Cincinnati, and he preceded her in death April 3, 1964. She is survived by a step-daughter, Mrs. Francis (Harriet) Reed, Greensburg; and four step-grandchildren: John Reed, R.R.6, Greensburg, Richard Reed, R.R.1, Greensburg, Keith Reed, R.R.9, Greensburg and Mrs. Dick (Ellen) Butler, St. Louis, Mo.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in the South Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
