CHINLE, Ariz. — Services for Chuck Thomas, 18, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at Chinle Christian Center. Pastor Artie Aragon will officiate. Burial will follow on family land, 7 miles southeast of TB Lodge.
Thomas died July 29 at Chinle. He was born July 20, 1983, in Fort Defiance into the Bitterwater for the Coyote Pass.
Thomas was an artist and a rancher. His hobbies included basketball.
Survivors include his parents, Louise Agnes and Samuel Thomas Sr., both of Chinle; brothers, Harrison Lynch of Spider Rock, Ariz., Wilbert Thomas of Sawmill, Ariz., Benson Y. Benally, Calvin Allen Thomas, Julius W. Thomas, Leon Mike Thomas, Samuel W. Thomas Jr., and Venson Kee Yazzie, all of Chinle; sisters, Julia Plummer of Tohatchi, Grace Hamblen
and Phyllis Mae Thomas of Chinle; and grandmother, Katherine P. Thomas of Spider Rock.
Thomas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Zonnie John, Ben John and Sam Thomas.
A family meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Chinle Christian Center, behind the A&W Restaurant, Chinle.
The family will receive friends and relatives after the burial services at Samuel Thomas residence.
