Growing up he was an energetic child, always in motion. He was always outside playing with his neighborhood buddies, riding his bike or throwing a ball. Fun was the ultimate objective when you were with Tyler. He was extremely inquisitive, constantly asking those hard to answer questions, but somehow we managed to satisfy his curiosity.
Tyler's positive outlook on life later filled the halls of Omak High School. He was your go—to—guy, up for any challenge. Whether it be in sports or academics, Tyler was always there. You could see his leadership on and off the field. He was a highly awarded member of the Varsity Football and Baseball teams. He was the President of National Honor Society, very active in FCCLA and a tutor for the GEAR UP after school program. He loved to be with people, and his energy was magnetic towards others. He was an excellent student who loved learning and being involved. Tyler had a love for the outdoors, which could be seen in his passion for winter sports. He had an amazing spirit, huge smile and great hugs. His enthusiasm for life was contagious to all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Marla Thompson and her companion, Jay VanderWeide and Jay's children, Vanessa, Justin and Jason; his father, Frank Thompson and his companion, Cheryl Mullins; his sister, Hailey Thompson; uncles, Lee Potter, and Bob Thompson and his companion, Edie Wood; aunt, Alice Thompson and her companion, Joe Berney; grandmother, Georgia Thompson; special friend, Jordyn Wilson; and beloved dog, Tucker.
