Richard A. Berg, age 87, of Braidwood, Thursday, June 28, 2001 at the IL Veteran's Home in Manteno. Born December 9, 1913 in Joliet.

Employed and retired from GAF Corp. in Joliet.
World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. Member of the Stone City VFW Post #2199 in Joliet. He enjoyed bowling and fishing.

Survived by his wife, Jessie (Viano) Berg; son, John "Jim" Frost and daughter, JoAnne (Francis) Cavanaugh both of Braidwood; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by son, Richard Berg; parents, Theodore Loose and Gertrude (Hiller) Berg Loose.

Funeral Services will be held from the R. W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., Braidwood Chapel, Tuesday, July 3, at 10:30 AM to the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood for Mass at 11:00 AM. Visitation Monday, July 2, from 4-8 PM. Cremation Rites will be accorded.

Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at a later date.

Memorials to the Altar and Rosary Society or the Immaculate Conception Church.
