ANDERSON, Agnes 'Sissy' Grindstead Anderson, a retired teacher whose husband, Walter Anderson, was an internationally celebrated potter and artist, died Wednesday at her home, Shearwater Pottery, in Ocean Springs, Miss. She was 82. Mrs. Anderson was born at Oldfields in Gautier, Miss., and grew up in Sewickley, Pa. She studied at the Sorbonne in Paris and received a bachelor's degree from Radcliffe College. She taught first and second grade in Pascagoula, Miss., and Ocean Springs from 1945 to 1967, when she retired. Her memoir, 'Approaching the Magic Hour, ' was published in 1989. She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Oceans Springs. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Johns Episcopal Church.
