Funeral services for Sylvia Prince, 76, of Hornbeck were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004, in the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hornbeck, the Reverends Donald Spears, Jessie Arnold and Edwin McCullough officiated. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Mrs. Prince died Tuesday, April 27, in Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria. She was born in Hornbeck.Survivors include Carl Prince of Hornbeck; one daughter, Sue Smith of Hornbeck; one brother, Grover Owers of Hornbeck; two sisters, Opal David and Crystal Read of Hornbeck; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
