Services for George Wesley Adair, 98, Leagueville, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Leagueville Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Adair, Rev. Thomas McGarity and Rev. Tom George officiating.
Burial will be in the Leagueville Cemetery under the direction of the Carroll -Lehr Funeral Home in Athens. He was born August 5, 1895 in Henderson County to William Price and Mary Emma Spears Adair. He was a resident of Henderson County most of his life and a farmer. He was a Mason, member of the Brownsboro Masonic Lodge and Leagueville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Una Blanche Adair in 1976, two sons, Ernest Adair and Hollis Adair, and two daughters, Erma Adair and Vivian Dingler.
Survivors include two sons, Howard Adair and Derl Adair, both of Leagueville; three daughters, Blanche Williams and Janice Monk, both of Leagueville and Sally Simmons of Chapel Hill; two sisters, Allie Howard of Malakoff and Vera Gideon of Palmer; 26 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-granddaughter.
Grandsons will be pallbearers and include Randy Adair, Durward Dingler, Richard Adair, Milton Adair, Joe Don Shelton, Bobby Adair, Donald Epperson and Larry Simmons.
