Athens (SPL) Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Adair, 86, who died in a Ferris Nursing Home Friday afternoon after a long illness were held Saturday afternoon at the Leagueville Baptist Church.

The Rev. Bill Watson conducted the services and burial was in the Leagueville Cemetery. Hassell and Foster Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Adair, a native of Henderson county, had lived in the Leagueville community most of her life.

Surviving are six sons: Wesley Adair and Lonzo Adair of Murchison, Ebb Adair of LaRue, Lesley Adair of Irving, Wylie Adair of Teague and Fonnie Adair of Houston; four daughters: Mrs. Estelle Barton and Mrs. F.O. Walder of Dallas, Mrs. Allie Howard of Malakoff and Mrs. Vera Gideon of Palmer; one brother, Will Spears of Brownsboro; one sister Mrs. Georgia Lewis of Chandler and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
