Bowie-Elton "Doc" Cozart, a retired farmer and rancher died Saturday in a Wichita Falls hospital. He was 74.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Burgess-Fry Funeral Home in Bowie. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Buffalo Springs, near Bowie.

Mr. Cozart was born in Buffalo Springs and had lived in Bowie for 17 years. He was a member of Pleasant Mound Freewill Baptist Church in Buffalo Springs, Masonic Lodge No. 578, AF&AM, and Bowie Chapter No. 16 of the order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors: Wife, Francis Reynolds Cozart of Bowie; daughter, Margie Thompson of Bowie; son, A.E. Cozart of Fort Worth; two brothers, R.E. Cozart of Buffalo Springs and Clint Cozart of Wichita Falls; sister, Jewel Alexander of Henrietta; and three grandchildren.
