Mr. Elliott Wilson "Buck" Allen, Sr. age 89, died at Daphne, Al. on Sunday, September 23, 2007. Mr. Allen was a member of Lillian First Baptist Church. A veteran of WWII; he was a combat infantryman participating in amphibious landings at New Guinea, Leyte Island, PI., and Mindoro, PI., receiving three bronze stars with V for valor. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters, and one grandson. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Andrews Allen of Daphne, AL.; one daughter, Peggy (Daniel) Wilson of Pensacola, FL.; two sons, Elliott "Buck" (Rebekah) Allen, Jr. of Ft. Walton, FL., and Robert (Victoria) Allen of Daphne, AL.; one sister, Flora Ann Bailey (Samuel) of Macon, GA; one brother, Ralph Allen of Macon, GA.; twelve grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Lillian on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lillian. Burial will be at Pine Rest Memorial Park following service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the First Baptist Church of Lillian Building Fund,251-962-2180.
