Herman L. Cozart, 77, died Wednesday in a Bowie hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Vashti, Texas, United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carl Flippin, pastor, and the Rev. O.D. Oliver, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs, Texas, Cemetery under the direction of Burgess-Fry Funeral Home.

He was born May 27, 1912, at Buffalo Springs. He was a retired electrician. He was a member of Vashti Methodist Church and Bowie Masonic Lodge No. 578. He also was a member of Scottish Rite in Dallas and Maskat Shrine Temple at Wichita Falls. He and Grace Clark were married April 22, 1977, at Buffalo Springs. He was a longtime resident of Buffalo Springs and Vashti before moving to Bowie 13 years ago.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Annette Young of Dallas and Jane Crowe of Coldspring, Texas; three stepdaughters, Billie Williams of Fort worth, Bobbie Hollingsworth of San Antonio and Yvonne Vaughn of Costa Mesa, Calif.; two stepsons, J.T. Clark of Corpus Christi, and Charles Clark of Houston; a sister, Juanita Perciful of Wills Point, Texas; six grandchildren, 12 stepgrandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren.
