He was born December 13, 1946 in Bakersfield, CA. Richard later married Linda R. De la Cruz in 1976 in El Centro and was employed as a labor worker.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rene, Nazario Jr., Manuel and Robert De la Cruz; sister, Gracie Huerta; father, Nazario De la Cruz; stepmother, Angelina De la Cruz; grandparents, Carlota and Nazario De la Cruz; and mother, Gloria Rojas.
Richard is survived by his wife, Linda R. De la Cruz; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jennifer De la Cruz of Colorado; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and John Murillo of Imperial Beach; brother, Albert De la Cruz of Castro Valley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Frank Aguirre and Maria and Leo Meraz of Heber; brother, Jesus De la Cruz of Phoenix, AZ; grandson, Julius De la Cruz of Imperial; aunt, Annie Mireles; uncle, Ruben De la Cruz of El Centro and cousin, Lupe Torres of El Centro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
