"Top Gun Commander" - Captain Alva Temple
1st Lt Golden was a Tuskegee Airman during World War 2 in Italy. During the Korean War he was a pilot of a P-51D Mustang Night Figher assigned to the 39th Fighter Interceptor Squardon, 18th Fighter Bomber Group. While on a combat mission over N. Korea, Golden's plane took a direct hit from anti-aircraft fire. The plane burst into flames & crashed. Initially Golden was listed as Missing in Action. On March 31, 1954, his status was changed to presumed Killed in Action Body Not Recovered. Golden's name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing.
