Funeral services for Nelda Faye Ridens, 50, of Baytown Texas were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005 at Oak Grove Baptist Church of Hornbeck, Revs. Clayton Crosby and Tommy Crosby officiated. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery of Hornbeck. Mrs. Ridens died Tuesday, Aug. 2, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Temple and Juanita McFarland; and one brother Donald Wayne Parker. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Ridens of Baytown; son, Patrick Ridens of Baytown; two brothers, Ronald Parker of Phoenix and Floyd Parker of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Mary Crosby of Leesville and one grandchild, Ashley Ridens.
