SHREVEPORT, LA - Elizabeth "Bet" Sue Peacock, 66, of Shreveport stood in the presence of God, her Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Bet was born June 25, 1943 in Pelican, Louisiana.

She was employed at NASA, where she acquired a love of the ocean and beaches of Galveston. She was a member of Summer Grove United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with family.

Mrs. Peacock was preceded in death by her husband, Worley Bridges; parents, William and Bessie Peacock; brothers, Paul Ray, Larry and Bill Peacock; and sister, Pat Bridges.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Dwayne Bridges, wife Donna; Donna Johnson; Lisa Ross, husband Irv; step-grandchildren, Drew Haynes and Madeline Bridges, Joshua, John Cory, and Rachel Johnson; and siblings, Louise Birdwell, Barbara Frisk, Glenda Haire, Wanda Rambin, Clift and Jerry Peacock.
Gathering of family and friends will begin at 9 a.m. August 8, 2009 with services following at 10 a.m. at Summer Grove United Methodist Church.
