Velma Ruth Long Henderson age 79, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, September 19th, 2009. She was born January 14th, 1930 in Arkansas to Howard and Dora M. Gibbs Long. Velma worked for the Arkansas State Police until she retired. She held many positions in church and her best love was always the music and the library.
Survivors include her daughter Deborah Henderson and her son Nathan K. Henderson.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 21st, Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd, at Otter Creek Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Jason Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.Garden of the Cross (section in cemetery)
