In 1946, Arnold and his brother Leonard Henson started the Henson Lumber Company in Mansfield. After Leonard's death, Arnold and the Didier brothers formed a business partnership and the sawmill became Didier Lumber Company. He was owner of the Henson Oil Company; and a distributor for Mobil and Gulf Oil Companies. He was a true sportsman and loved bird and deer hunting. He had a large deer camp in Camden that he shared with many friends. "Hoss" was what he was called by his close friends because of his untiring work ethic and leadership among men.
Mr. Henson is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; one daughter and son-in-law; five grandchildren: six great-grandchildren; two special friends, one a caretaker; and a host of relatives and other friends.
Mr. Henson was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Inez Henson; and his parents.
