Ethel Figgins, 92, died at the Bethesda Care Center, Blue Hill, Friday.

The funeral was Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., at the Simonson-Williams Funeral Home, Red Cloud, with the Rev. Ralph Russo officiating.

Interment was in the Highland Cemetery in Jewell County, Kansas.

Mrs. Figgins was born Nov. 17, 1896, in Northbranch. She attended school at Northbranch and Esbon.

Dec. 24,1924, she was married to William Figgins at Burr Oak.
They lived in Osborn, Kan., until 1925 when they moved to
Red Cloud and operated a shoe shop. Mr. Figgins died Sept. 20, 1944.

She moved to Greeley, Colo. in 1960, and worked for Goodwill
Industries. In 1974, she retired and moved back to Red Cloud.

She was a member of the Guide Rock, Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ruth Madsen of Inavale and Elizabeth Hartman of Fort Collins, Colo.,four sisters, Tina Dobbins
of Red Cloud, Blanche Dobbins of Yucca, Calif., Josephine Gouldie of Smith Center and Edna Lockhart of Red Cloud;
five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three
grand-foster children.
