Services for W.S. Husted, retired Newcastle businessman, and farmer, were held at the Firs Christian Church officiated by E.A. Morgan, the minister of the Newcastle Church of Christ. Burial was in the True cemetery under the direction of the Newcastle Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Husted was prominent in business affairs at Newcastle and the Orth Community. He moved to Young County in 1910 from Montague County, Texas.
Survived by his wife; two daughters - Mrs. Edgar Holder and Mrs. Otis Cooney; four sons - Maylon Husted, Jack Husted, Walter Husted, and William Henry Husted of the Canal Zone.
