Mike Brant was an internationally-known Israeli pop star born Moshe Michael Brand Sela in a Jewish refugee camp in Cyprus. In November 1947, his family moved to Israel where they settled in Haifa.

Mike's first and most successful hit "Laisse Moi T'aimer" ("Let me love you") was a huge success in January 1970. The record sold about 50,000 copies within the first two weeks.

Other hits included "Qui saura" (Who knows), "Un grand bonheur" (In the big happiness) and "Parce que je t'aime plus que moi" (Because I love you more than myself). His first album titled "Disque d'Or" ("Gold record") sold millions of copies.

On 25 April 1975, on the day in which Mike was supposed to introduce his album "Dis lui" ("Tell her") for the first time live on television, he fell from the balcony of his apartment in Paris and died at the age of 28.
He was an Israeli singer and songwriter.
