Robert was the first born of seven children to George Maston and Sara Elizabeth "Bessie" Cowley Randol on four August, 1905 in Whitebead, Choctaw Indian Territory (Oklahoma). He married Mary Anna Logan on 5 December, 1925 in Garvin County, Oklahoma. to this union four children were born: Charles R - 1927; Catherine J - 1929; Margerite - 1931; and baby girl Randol in 1932.
Sadly Mary and the baby died in a fire in 1932, and Margerite had passed away the previous year.
Later Robert married Ona E Hall Bruening, a divorcee with a small daughter, and the couple raised the three children to adulthood. Along with farming, Robert became a welder, raising his family mainly in the Whitebead area. Robert died of cancer at the age of 67 and is buried in the Whitebead Cemetery with family.
