Services for Lee Walker, 62, former Chamber of Commerce manager and former Stamford football coach, were held at St. John's Methodist Church.
Lee Walker graduated from Howard Payne College and moved to Stamford from Electra in 1929.
He married Jimmy Sqyers on 23 December 1935 at Gainesville.
Walker taught in the Stamford High School and was head football coach until 1945. He was manager of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce from 1945-1965. From 1965 until his death, he had charge of the Little League baseball teams in Stamford.
A veteran of World War II, he was a member of St John's Methodist Church.
Survived by his wife; one brother - David Walker of Lonhorn, Maryland; two sisters - Mrs. Arthur Phillips of St. Jo and Mrs. Earl Patton of Gainesville.
