52, of 436 Fancy Hill Rd. died Dec. 1, 1993, at home. Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, with the Rev. Jess Ballew officiating. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at Dallas Funeral Home.
Mr. Childers, a textile worker, was born in Gaston County, son of the late Albert and Stella Childers.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Joy Childers; sons, Brett Childers of Gastonia, Tony Childers, Scott Childers; daughters, Mrs. Sandy Clark of York, S.C., Ms. Lara Childers of Gastonia; brother, James Childers; sister, Faye McSwain of Waco; six grandchildren.
