Willie Lue Hovey of Dothan, formerly of Louisville, died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Ex-tendicare Health & Rehab in Dothan after an extended illness. She was 91. Funeral services for Mrs. Hovey will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from the chapel of Kent Funeral Home in Clayton. Rev. Steve Riley and Rev. Bill Brown will officiate and burial will follow in the Louisville Cemetery with Kent Funeral Home directing. Visitation for Mrs. Hovey will be held from 5 until 7 p.m., Monday evening at Kent Funeral Home in Clayton. Born June 6, 1918 in Pike County, Mrs. Hovey was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Willie A. Renfroe Faircloth. Mrs. Hovey was a lifelong resident of Barbour County and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Days gone by, when her hands, eyes and health permitted she enjoyed quilting bees, embroidery and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband F.D. Hovey; a son, Jimmy Hov-ey; an infant son; and a sister Mary Etta Paul. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara (Leon) Houston, Millbrook, Brenda (Burt) Corbett, Salem, and Connie (Billy Ray) Bedsole, Clayton; two sons, Larry D. (Roselyn) Hovey, Louisville and Ronnie H. Hovey and Bill Campbell, Headland; a brother, Lester Faircloth, Phenix City; two sisters, Leona Riley, Lafayette, Shelby Starnes, Columbus, GA; 7 grandchildren, Kenneth Houston, Pamela Graham, Kimberly O'Connell, Neil Corbett, Brian Hovey, Keith Houston and Jennifer Myers; 8 great grandchildren, Matthew, Macie, and Morgan Houston, Amanda and Emily Graham, Daschia and Alecia O'Connell and Dylan Myers. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Houston, Keith Houston, Mike O'Connell, Neil Corbett, Scott Graham, Brian A. Hovey, and Slade Sutton.
