R. W. Wehmeyer Passes - Winthrop. March 13 - Roy William Wehmeyer, 46, passed away at his home at Rockview Saturday morning at 4 o'clock. He had been ill for a week with pneumonia. Deceased was born in Pittsburgh, Kansas, in 1882, and came to the Methow valley about 30 years ago with his parents. He was unmarried and was living with his father and mother on their farm, five miles up the South Fork. He is survived by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Wehmeyer, and four brothers, Jack, Charles, Lou and Harley Wehmeyer, all of this place.

Funeral services were held at the family home at 1 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, which were attended by the many friends and relatives of the deceased. Many beautiful floral offerings were received. The funeral address was delivered by Rev. Moore of the Community M. E. church. The body was brought to the Sullivan cemetery at Winthrop for interment, where a short graveside service was read.
