Born September 12, 1920 to Benjamin A. and Ellen Shaffer Miles in LaPoint, Utah.
Married Robert Dean Lindsay; later divorced. Married Elvin R. Cox on November 24, 1955. Raised five children who will always remember her courage, strength, guidance, cheerful nature, and compassion for others. She will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her. Member of the Kearns Sixth Ward. She had served briefly as a temple worker in the Jordan River LDS Temple.
Survived by husband, Elvin, Kearns; children and spouses, Ms. R. Dean Lauritzen, Taylorsville; Mrs. Floyd (Kay) Pelland, West Valley City; Mr. Robert Dean and wife, Elena Lindsay, Kearns; Mr. Newell Lindsay, West Valley City; Mrs. Ray (Paula) Kaighn, Dugway; sister, Virginia Fenn Brough, Randlett, Utah; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Newell and Irvin Miles; sisters, Ardith Shea, Venice Croy, and Lois Miles.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 1993 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kearns Sixth Ward Chapel, 4260 West Sams Boulevard (5215 South). Friends may call on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and on Saturday at the Church from 1:00-1:40 p.m.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
