Her mother Matilda Emiline Scott was married to Alexander Whited who was about 10 years older then her. They married on Dec 17, 1885.

However her biological father was William Thomas Choate, because she was born out of wedlock. I imagine it caused problems and forced her out of the home, she grew up under the roof of her husbands grand parents Mathias and Betsy Wright.

There has always been controversy in our family whether to say Choate or Whited. However if her mother was a Whited by marriage then I would say Whited because that was the name of the childs mother, or it would be Scott because that was her mothers maiden name before she married Alexander Whited.

None of us choose who we get as parents, or how exactly we get here. It isn't the childs fault no matter what her parents did.

Was moved to and is in Whited Cemetery.
