Mrs. Effie Francis Collinsworth, age 85, of Bowie, Texas passed away on July 19, 2004, in Bowie. She was born on June 25, 1919, in Dallas, Texas to James Henry and Mary Susan (Schreiber) Nelson. She married William Lee Collinsworth on September 9, 1937 in Rockwall, Texas. Mrs. Collinsworth was a lunchroom worker with Richardson School District. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plano. She is survived by her sons, Henry Collinsworth and wife, Judy of Bowie, Jerry Collinsworth and wife, Jo of New Diana, Texas, James Collinsworth of McKinney, Texas, and Whit Price and wife, Jessica of Anna, Texas; daughters, Elizabeth Weatherly and husband, Mike of Bowie and Mary Steigman and husband, Ken of Plano, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brothers, Paul Nelson and wife, Diana of Bowie, Joe Nelson and wife, Helen of Canton, Texas and Charles Nelson of Emory, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Collinsworth was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Barbara McGee; sister, Martha Ruth Collinsworth; and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 22, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
