Adams Co., Illinois
...........
Thomas was a son of Jesse and Dicy (Stoghill/Stodgill) Livingston. He married his childhood friend Keziah McNew Jun 16, 1825 in Vanderburgh Co., Indiana. By 1830 they were living in Illinois.
Her parents - Benjamin and Rachel (Bryant) McNew also moved to the Fulton and Schuyler County area.
The headstone shown only says "father" - was near his son Benjamin's and wife Rebecca's small stones. Though his name is not on the stone, family members have agreed that since obit also mentions burial in Camp Point Cemetery and this is where his sons family is buried and there are mother and father markers - this is the logical location for both Thomas and Keziah.
The son referred to in the obit was most likely John as he was living in the Bardolph area at that time. Children included: Rachel, Elizabeth (McLaughlin), John, Benjamin, William, James Henrym Nancy Elizabeth and Thomas J.
