Private Funeral Services to Mrs. Schofield
Washington, D.C., January 1. Private funeral services over the remains of the late Mrs. Schofield were held at the Richmond Flats this evening. The Rev. Dr. Harold of the Church of the Holy Cross of this city read the Episcopal burial service and the casket was then borne by eight soldiers to the New York train. No persons accompanied the remains except the immediate family of the deceased and three Lieutenants of Gen. Schofield's staff. The interment will take place at West Point tomorrow afternoon.
