A wire from California reached here informing relatives of the death of Mrs. Wright, one of the early pioneer ladies of this vicinity. Our informant states she died at the home of her daughter. Another daughter, Mrs. Chas. Quiggle, resided at Wray, Colo. Mrs. Wright was the widow of Jeff Wright who died about thirty years ago here and was buried in Oak Creek cemetery, where the body of the wife will be placed. We are informed that the body is expected to arrive in Lawrence Friday. -- Lawrence Locomotive The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, January 7, 1926; pg. 6

Candice C. Dillon was born November 5, 1847, in Fleming county (sic), Kentucky, and passed away December 25, 1925, at her home in Los Angeles, Calif., after one week's illness, aged 78 years, 1 month, 20 days. At an early age her parents moved to Rock Island county 9sic), Ills., where she spent her girlhood. She was united in marriage to Thomas J. Wright at Normal, Ills., in the year 1869. They emigrated from Bloomington, Ills., to Webster county (sic), Nebraska, in 1876, where they took up a homestead and lived there until 1894, when they moved to Lawrence. The husband was a soldier in the Union army, where he served three years in an Indian regiment. To this union were born three children: two daughters, Audrey L. and Daisy L., and one son, Royal L. Her husband and two children, Audrey L. and Roy L., preceded her in death a number of years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Daisy L. Williams, and one sister, Mrs. Richard Stanley, and six grandchildren. The daughter and sister reside in Los Angeles. At her request, the remains were taken to Lawrence, Nebraska, for burial in Oak Creek cemetery, by the side of her husband who died in May, 1896. -- Lawrence Locomotive. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, January 14, 1926; pg. 2

Note: One of these Death Notice state "two daughters living" and the other states "one daughter living". This will need further research by family members.
