Alma Fay Noble was born at home in Frisco, Tex., Sept. 23, 1916, to Ernest and Alma Williams Noble; her brothers were Clois E. and John Noble. As a very young child she removed to Dallas, Tex., upon the separation of her parents where she grew up and attended school. Her spouses included Frank T. Neel, ( M. Sept. 13, 1936 in Rockwall, Tex.); Kenneth Hauptmann; Albert Haynes; and Oscar A. Allen, whose death in 1982 left her a widow.

Fay was the mother of James F. Neel ( b. Nov. 27, 1946 ) and David Lee Neel ( b. Dec., 1952; d. Dec., 1952 ). During WWII she served as a civillian employee with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a parachute packer at Wendover Field, Utah in 1942 - 43. She continued postwar in the avaition industry with the McElfish Parachute Co. of Dallas as parachute packer and secretary. Resident successively of Dallas, Irving, Mt. Pleasant, Winfield, and finally, Sulphur Springs, Tex., she succumbed at her home after a long bout with emphysema, Oct. 23, 1999. She was survived by her son James Frank Neel.
