A native of this county, passed away at his home, Mud Bay, Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Simmons had been in ill health for three years but it was not considered that his condition was serious and death was unexpected. He was born on Bush Prairie October 12, 1847 and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael T. Simmons of the earliest settlers. He never married. Surviving are four brothers, C. C. of this county, George, of San Francisco, Michael of Ellensburg and Charles of Vader, and two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Kuntz, of Chehalis, and Mrs. John Bannon of Vader. The remains were brought to this city and funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the Mills Chapel.
