William Allen, 75, retired carpenter, died at his home at 1209 Jefferson avenue Friday, November 30 and funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Second Baptist church with the Rev. Norman Jameson officiating. Burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery with LaForge service.
Mr. Allen was born January 3, 1881, in Hillham, Tenn.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Goldie Allen; three sons, Herman and Paul Allen of this city and Buster Allen of Union, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Asbridge of Lavern, Calif., Miss Jewell Allen of Qulin, Mo. and Mrs. Gerald Brown of Memphis; two step-sons, Eugene and Carl Anderson, City; a brother, Vann Allen, Advance, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Harrell, Brownwood, Mo. and Mrs. Dora Stephen, Cape Girardeau; eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
