Melroy Ole Nelson was the son of Christian Nels & Caroline Olsen Nelson. He married Nellie May Olsen on May 25, 1921, she died May 17, 1922. He married Clarissa Elizabeth Jones on May 21, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Melroy was a Warehouse Forman for Scowcot & Son. He died in Price City Hospital on his 42nd birthday from pneumonia caused by Typhoid Fever
