LCDR Du Temple was Killed in Action during the Korean War. Du Temple was a pilot of a AD-4 Skyraider dive bomber with Attack Squadron 195 aboard the USS Princeton (CVA-37). While on a combat mission over Pyongyang N. Korea, Du Temple's plane was struck by enemy ground fire and crashed. Initially he was listed as Missing in Action. On June 4, 1954, his status was changed to Killed in Action Body Not Recovered. Du Temple was awarded the Navy Cross. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing.
