John Cauble Obituary
SALISBURY - John Harold Cauble, 81, died Saturday evening, January 5, 2008, at Presbyterain Hospital in Charlotte after a brief illness.
Born February 21, 1926, in Rowan County to the late Amos Jonathan and Rosetta Koon Cauble, Mr. Cauble was a 1944 graduate of China Grove High School and a veteran of the Army Air Force, serving during WWII.

He was a life member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Salisbury and the Patterson-Wessinger Sunday school class. A director and agent for Rowan Mutual Fire Insurance Company since 1954, he was a retired carpenter with Grove Construction Company. Mr. Cauble loved his family and enjoyed being with his many friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cauble was preceded in death by his brother, Ray & Everette Cauble, and four sisters Lyda Boger, Elma Yost, Lucille and Dorothy Kerr.
Survivors include his wife Ellis London Cauble, whom he married June 3, 1950; son Ronald H. Cauble (Cecelia) of Winston Salem; two daughters Karen C. Fleming (Junius) of Woodleaf and Linda C. Haigler (Phillip) of Mt. Ulla; grandchildren Chris Haigler (Kristin), Jon Cauble, Carrie Smith (James), Jeremy Cauble and Julie Fleming; and great-granddaughter Lillian Marie (Lily) Haigler.
Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Salisbury, conducted by the Revs. Gene Bruce and Charles McMurphy.
