John A. Deyo, a well known farmer, died at his home in Springtown Saturday evening after a long illness in his 86th year. Mr. Deyo was born November 21, 1831, and was a son of Abraham E. and Elizabeth Deyo. Both he and his wife had been ill for a long time, his wife dying on April 12 of this year. Mr. Deyo is survived by one sister, Mrs. Julia C. Terwilliger of North Hackensack, N.J. and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Dinah DuBois of Springtown. Mr. Deyo was a member of the New Paltz Reformed Church, and had held office in the church for many years. He was a highly respected citizen of Springtown and had a host of friends. The funeral will be held from the late residence on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
