Mrs. Kathryn Rebecca Wood Pearson, 85, passed away Wednesday evening at the Bacon County Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Atlanta, GA, and a daughter to the late Orin Lee & Nettie Mayo Wood ;; also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Pearson Tuten, and a brother, Don Wood.
she had lived there for many years before moving to Pierce County in 1955. Mrs. Pearson was a retired collections representative with GMAC and was a member of the Hacklebarney Baptist Church. She was always a family oriented person and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved playing the piano, fishing and reading her Bible.
Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by her parents, Orin Lee & Nettie Mayo Wood. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Pearson Tuten, and a brother, Don Wood.
Survivors are her husband, L. D. Pearson, Jr. of Blackshear;

Harold & Amelia Pearson of Blackshear
Bobby & Margaret Pearson of Waycross;
two sisters:
Juanita & Roy Faulkner of Snellville
Betty & J. U. Sowell of Waycross;

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pearson will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 from the Hacklebarney Baptist Church following burial into Oakland Cemetery.
