Thomas Howell died during the Civil War. Tragically he had gone to Richmond, Wise Co., Virginia to bring the body of his oldest son, William who had died of pneummonia back home for burial. Thomas became deathly ill and died a few days later in Richmond. Thomas and William were buried together in Richmond. This info was provided to me by Lynn Turner.

Mrs. C. M. Davis, age 81 years, died at the home of her son, C. L. Davis, ten miles west of Weatherford on Patrick's Creek, at one o'clock Wednesday morning, following an attack of paralysis. Mrs Davis was born in the state of Georgia but moved to Texas with her family many years ago. She is survived by four sons as follows; C.L., W. C., and R. S. Davis of this county and R. B. Davis of Burleson.
The funeral service was held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, the ceremony being conducted by Rev. A. O. Colley of Dallas. Burial was made in the Brock Cemetery.
